I lasagna garden too, love photo 3, the shade garden. What is that plant with ferns leaves and pinkish flowers growing with hostas unde the tree?

Judy, that is bigroot geranium. I mix different cultivars together, so it might be Bevan's or Ingwersen's variety, or possibly Karmina. It's a very useful low maintenance groundcover.
I do have a fern there also.
