So when I put my kalanchoe blossfeldiana to sleep when it had a severe mealy bug infestation to save my other plants, it could feel the cold air killing it?
I froze it. Now I feel horrible and like a bad plant mommy.

I actually have the book, bought it many years ago and was totally fascinated with it! It does make sense, at least to me!

I have no use for internet bullies!
I first read about plants having emotions in a short story by Roald Dahl - 'The Sound Machine'.

OMG - so many people would consider this completely crazy, but really, why not? We truly should respect all living things... but then, what to eat?

Tests have been done; plants can "trigger" responses which can be measured. It is a fascinating subject.
