No semps, (Easter cactus are the only succulents) but maybe it will inspire someone to photograph some semps in the same way. It would be awesome to watch a flower stalk shoot up and bloom! Even to watch one send out stolons (is that the correct plural?) and chicks and form a clump Smiling . If someone had the time and the equipment, it could be an awesome project!

You know, I've been trying to do something like this with my jovi rollers once they started blooming (I had no idea they would look that weird!) ...sadly I only have my phone camera, so the quality will be disappointing. I did find this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?..., much higher quality than mine will be, but quite short.

Yes, that is what I was looking for. Maybe someone (or a group of someones, more likely) will do a truly professional job, several minutes showing the variety of semps and their close cousins, the ways they bloom and the varied ways they make their chicks. There really are no plants like them, and show-casing their variety (varieties!) and the way they propagate could well make converts to growing (collecting!) them... To do a really good job, it seems to me there'd have to be a camera dedicated to each plant -- I haven't researched it enough to know if there are any other ways to keeping the photos from being jerky. The act is pretty well over for this year here, anyway... But who knows what the future holds!

Again, Thank You!
