I bought both of these last year and lost tags. I don't see any difference in any of my whites. One site mentioned that one of them had a broader leaf, another said there was no such thing as a white Stargazer. I know the pros here can answer this!
Casa Blanca Is sometimes referred to as the 'White Stargazer', more so in Europe than in North America. When I see the term 'White Stargazer', I automatically think Casa Blanca.
Glad you have found the difference, Patty. White Star Gazer is also supposed to have a dark purple stigma while Casa Blanca's is lighter. This would be a side by side comparison.
At least according to the Lily Garden photo, Sapporo appears to be significantly more ruffled. Can you post a photo of each, including the entire stems?
According to the Lily Register, Casa Blanca is more outfacing and Sapporo up-facing. Sapporo has a purple stigma but stigma color is not mentioned in the Casa Blanca entry. The ruffles are noted in the Sapporo entry. Photos would help.
Ummm... you chopped off the goodies so I can't see the color of the stigma. The waviness would kind of indicate Sapporo but really, they need to be compared to each other. Will the other one be blooming for you?
I don't think so. Oh, just realized that I cut them off so they didn't tinge the flower. There are three more buds ready to burst. I will get a clear shot of them when they do. Thanks
