Catmint20906 said:Okay, have figured out why I am not more 'productive' with my gardening time! Big Grin Here's this morning:

Out bright and early at 7:30 am, ready to work.
Got distracted by all the pretty blooms and went around taking photos.

8 am ready to work.
Realized I am missing a tool and spent time searching for it. Couldn't find it; decided it will turn up.
Realized I needed to spend some time cleaning other tools.

8:30 am ready to work.
Filled up my watering jugs.
Dithered around looking for the perfect spot for my new coreopsis.
Got distracted by the pretty blooms and pollinators; took some more photos.

9 am ready to work.

Hilarious! Hilarious! Whistling

Yesterday I managed a nice long exercise walk with Lily Dog. Today it is too warm this afternoon so maybe later towards evening.

I did go to the supermarket and got my grocery shopping done so at least I managed to do something productive. And of course Lily was extra excited while I was carrying bags into the house. She must think at least something is for her.

If I can brave the sunshine I will put more rows of Florida Weave on the tomato plants that need extra support. With all this rain the tomatoes have really been growing. I just want some ripe tomatoes but just green ones so far.

I put on my summer gardening hat and Lily and I went out to the garden to put another row of weave on any tomato plants that needed it. So some of the tomatoes have three rows of weave already. Lots of very small tomatoes set and bigger ones too. But nothing near getting ready to go ripe as far as I can see.

Florida Weave is a support System for tying up tomato plants. With this system one uses less stakes but lots of support twine. Here is a link to the Garden Ideas Article I wrote on Florida Weave-

http://garden.org/ideas/view/N...

I like this system as I surely do not have enough tomato cages for all my plants.

Lily has lots of different types of treats and gets something every day mostly in the evening. But we don't get the treats that are sold in the supermarket so unless I bought her ground meat to eat (which I often do) there isn't anything for her. I Had ground meat packaged up in Lily size portions in my freezer already so I did not buy any for her today.

In fact yesterday she had a package of her ground meat mixed with her Honest Kitchen dog food. She was happy scarfing up her extra tasty dinner.

wow, the Florida weave looks like a really cool system! Looks like it would take some time and patience to do it correctly.

Lily is a lucky dog, that's for sure! Thumbs up

Lily is a happy dog and very curious. She gets into everything. Today she dug two holes while we were out gardening. I was tying up the tomato plants and my back was turned so Lily got into mischief! Hilarious!

As to the weave, I don't worry if it's not so perfect. As long as it holds up the tomato plants (and it certainly does do that) then all is good by me.
