I have never had rust on it but I live in the north and we do not get rust that often. It is an early bloomer for me and it has also rebloomed here. It also increases rapidly. It is an overall very good plant. I have never checked bud count but it seems to bloom a long time. It was given to me by a friend and for years I didn't know if it was a dip or tet so I tried both types of pollen and it will set pods with tet pollen.
