Wallflowers are one of my favourites. It wouldn't be Spring without them. Sadly they too often get ripped out of beds like that to make way for the summer bedding.

Here's a lovely border I saw yesterday at Lilburn Tower gardens which is a privately owned garden which opens occasionally under the National Gardens scheme for charity.

Dear Sue, I love wallflowers and who would believe they are a member of the cabbage family! Those in your picture are a very nice colour, more subtle than the standard Park bedding!
I cannot wait for Chelsea and I wish you were with me after I saw it on BBC2 last night and it is on TV all week! They say they have broken the record this year and there is over 100,000+ different plant species at Chelsea this year.
Panic, my camera with all the batteries will only take 35,000 photos, oh well enough for some Articles!
I love this Meconopsis cambrica the Welsh Poppy, at my mothers yesterday when we went for Dinner, yes Yorkshire pudding as well, even on the hottest day of the year!
Kindest Regards.
Neil.

Speaking of Meconopsis, how's this for a display? My sister and I both had our jaws on the floor wandering around the woodland/pond garden at Lilburn Tower.

The house was pretty impressive with it's 10 acres, glasshouses, vegetable garden and topiaries. Some incredible plants like apricots, climbing hydrangeas, wisterias and magnolias trained against the walls too.

I didn't realized that there were colors other than blue. Can't grow them in our area, sigh.

Am I not seeing correctly, or does that big sidewalk lead to nowhere? No door?

There are paths at the end which lead left and right. The main entrance to the house is around the left.

Neil, I hope you don't mind my posting this here, if you do, please delete it. If you don't, please forward it on. I recommend a boycottt of DG starting tomorrow at noon for as long as it takes, look and read but don't post. Let's see what happens when they have no active members. Spread the word. Vote with your clicks.

I mind that technique. I am in correspondence with quite a few people on DG, it would be rude to shut them off. We are all upset with the loss of cubits, but no need to go into a hole. I think that Dave's contract is over next March. A long wait but doable. I look forward to Neil being able to start a new website.

I am not touching DG until this is made right. For those that wish to stay in touch with me, my email is [email protected]. Please send me yours!

Neil, I am so proud of all you have done with your cubits. I know you have put countless hours into entertaining and educating us. We will carry on, somehow. I believe in justice, and karma! Thank you Neil for all you have done and all you will continue to do.

Some of us have moved to rosefriends.org - they've even created a UK topic Smiling It's not exclusively for roses either, there are lots of other topics.

I so value the time I've spent at Cubits, and I want to have somewhere to go as I don't have the inclination to go to DG at the moment. I doubt I'll be logging in there this weekend..

Sue
