I really don't want faux water in my mini garden. I've seen some amazing ones that I REALLY admire, but that's not what I want. So, if I can't make it happen with a tiny battery or solar powered pump; because I too have no power outside in back, and that's where my mini stuff is going, it won't happen at all and I'll figure out another scene to create. I may, at some point, do an indoor scene of some kind, but my home is pretty dark - hard on plants, AND I have cats, so I will have to design with extreme caution so it doesn't become a) an adjunct cat's water bowl, and b) a splashy splashy toy for them, and c) stagnant ugliness...
At this point, I'm thinking a seep kind of 'water fall', not one with enough volume to 'plinky plinky'. I have seen several rock walls with water dripping or seeping down them, with ferns and mosses growing, and I'd like to try that for myself in miniature. I've wanted to try a seep with moss and ferns for several decades, so I'm not rushing this...
Thanks for this link too, Purple, I will investigate with good cheer! All this idea searching, and methods searching tends to remind me of quilting planning. There are color schemes to suit all of us, there are assembly methods to suit all of us, and there is fun to be had all around. I have some serious fun to anticipate in the new year!
