Bell pepper plants make for a very nice dark green accent in the flower beds and can make more delicately colored plants really 'pop' into view.

Sweet tip! I tried it this year and the peppers definitely are visual assets in the flower beds. Growing closer to the house also makes it easier to quickly grab a tasty treat for meal preparation, or for snacking.
