I got some seeds from a packet and some have sprouted. At the rate they're going, I'm not confident I'll get blooms before frost. But if I get to sniff just 1, it will have been worthwhile to me.

I've started mine indoors a few weeks ago, ready to plant once it's warm enough. I usually have a few opened flowers in the 7-8 weeks they spend indoors under the grow lights. I've been planting mine in a container with a trellis since I really hate having to clean up the dried up vines off a chain link fence in the fall.
It's been a few years since I posted. Serious health issues for a family member kept us from being able to do some of the gardening. Happily, this year we did get moonflowers on the gothic arch and on the carport trellis. These pictures are just so-so, but still it is nice to have moonflowers once again for their beauty and fragrance.
