Most of my irises are still in pots, so I will not be making crosses this year (same as last year), but I have been reading up on hybridizing, especially line breeding, so starting next year I hope I'll be able to make some better informed crosses. We'll see...

I did make one cross; Bonito Bon Bon with Vow of Silence (both ways), simply because I love them both and I couldn't help myself, but no sign of pods yet. I have a few bee pods on my new Tasquier irises in the Pottingshed, which I'll leave to mature. His irises have been extraordinarily good growers and bloomers, so I decided I can live with not knowing the full pedigree.

I forgot to mention that the first of my own crosses from a couple of years back, bloomed this year. They are temporarily re-homed in my parents' veggie garden due to the move, so I've only seen photos, but I think I can guess which ones have Thornbird in their line.
