Learning Latin names is not as difficult as you might think. A little at a time, we can learn the Latin names of our plants and avoid quite a bit of confusion.

I remember years ago a horticulture friend and her husband showed me around their 1acre fully landscaped yard. With so many rare and exotic plants. They spoke of the plants names
In Latin and sub-species and at the end of the tour of their yard. I said to Sandy "how do you possibly remember all of these names".
We where just starting out with our own property and she said, "you will remember with your own yard". I made a practice of learning the Latin names of plants I purchased, started from seed, cuttings, etc. Not because I felt it necessary, but I wanted to learn the Latin names.

I am still learning and meet the challenge in doing so.
