Googled. Sempervivum arachnoideum Emily looks pretty close though healthier than the one I have out back. I know someone posted a picture of one very like what I bought, here recently......

That's from google. I'll photograph mine tomorrow (if it survives that long, *sniff**whimper*) Rolling my eyes.

Kyla, I think some of us are eternal optimists and hope springs eternal.... I saw a bit of life in one I thought dead. Will try to figure how just what it is in a day or so.

Marilyn, yes, I don't give up easily either.

We weathered an inch of rain last night in at least two heavy downpours and we are forecast to have heavy rain in just a little while, with MORE rain continuing every day through the weekend and into next week.

Dang.

So I just wheeled a wheelbarrow full of potted semps into the cabana where they can at least be protected somewhat, some of the time. I am hoping this is a freak weather pattern though, because I had to leave most of them outside.

This is Green Wheel, where I already had a rotter, Oddity which seems a bit risky to leave out, the new arachnoideum, and three rosettes of Legolas who may not have the finest possible drainage and I don't want to risk them!
Thumb of 2015-06-02/kylaluaz/1e58f3

This is what I have to leave outside: NOIDs, everything in Little Rock, and everything potted up from last fall including the surviving rosettes of Lone Star:

Thumb of 2015-06-02/kylaluaz/ec5a77

Those NOIDs in pots so far have seemed quite tough and I have hopes they will be fine. LIttle Rock I can't do much about at this stage. The other container semps, well, they made it through the winter and I will watch them daily and see how this goes!

This is where the wheelbarrow is going:

Safe inside for now:

Well, phooey. Heavy thunderstorm forecast has changed, but still lots of rain, so I am leaving them in there for now.

Fiddle.

So, it did not rain more yesterday at all, though everything is really wet. However, it's forecast to rain all day today AND tomorrow, and then stop for a while.

I guess I am going to just leave that wheelbarrow inside the cabana tent. Unless the sun comes out! Everything outside looks fine this morning; I lifted up the little pots of rollers and set them at angles against the larger pot edges so they will drain better in the event of more rain.

Maybe this is a wet-hardiness test, like winter tests for cold? I guess different semps have slightly different tolerances for being soaked? Confused Rolling my eyes. Shrug!

Anyway, in the meantime maybe I can come up with some tiny plant umbrellas somewhere. Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!

We got nearly a half inch more rain today; currently it is not raining but more forecast for tomorrow. I went out and checked on everyone still out in it, and decided to move one more container under shelter -- a NOID group of rosettes all of whom have offsets, and it's a really pretty plant at this stage, would hate to lose or damage that one.

As requested, photos below, taken in early morning light before the next rain sets in.

The forecast for today went from (RED ALERT symbol) "Heavy Rain" at the time I went out to take pictures, to occasional rain by the time I was back inside, Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! . I'll take it. There are forecast some non-rainy days, coming up, but for the next week a pattern of intermittent rain and thunderstorms remains in place. Everybody that is in the tent is going to have to go back outside tomorrow.

These are surviving outside okay so far:

They are all looking beautiful Kyla. I think the thick layer of gravel is keeping them up off the wet soil. Great job. I do see a couple of containers that could use more of the gravel, so the soil can't make contact the the underside of rosettes or offsets.
Keep up the great work. Hurray!

And thank you so much for the wonderful photos. Lovey dubby

Thanks for the tip, Lynn. I keep running out of stuff like the pea gravel but have a new bag of that so I can fix that one pot that has too little. The other I think you're seeing is actually tilted so the gravel just doesn't stay at that top rim. And the little bonsai pots of rollers are tipped up against the larger container edges so they will drain more easily during this rainy time.

I'll go around and refresh gravel today, as part of my one dry day tasks! (more rain on the forecast but, not today! Whew!)

May they only receive benefit from the rain, and no damage. You are doing a good job of giving them what they need.

So far everyone has survived, whew! I put all the pots back in their spots today. It did not rain today, yay! Tomorrow is the neighborhood garden walk, and we have scattered thunderstorms forecast but after last week, that's nuthin.

After tomorrow's event or non-event, whichever it turns out to be, I'll feel I can focus on the actual garden more! Oddly enough. Green Grin!

So, the garden walk was a kind of non-event, not many people showed. Those who did were very appreciative and complimentary, so it was okay.

I've got some questions this morning.

First, my NOID arachnoideum seems to have taken some water damage. Not sure how clearly it shows in the photo, but the central rosette and one on the near edge look a bit worse for wear. Question is should I cut those out? Will the "rot" spread? Or can I leave it alone and just see how it all does? (My preference is the latter because I doubt I could cut those out without damaging the surrounding plant more than I want to!) It is a sunny day today fortunately.

Thumb of 2015-06-07/kylaluaz/4fd265

Second, look at the color variation in these two pictures (which I just observed yesterday, and it's really lovely!)

Thumb of 2015-06-07/kylaluaz/898c2c
Thumb of 2015-06-07/kylaluaz/9aba94

I've been considering this one plant but now I think it is actually two, and different ones. They came from this pot I got on sale last August I think:

Thumb of 2015-06-07/kylaluaz/f86ce1

That was labeled "Sempervivum Mix" and contained a scrap of Oddity, and the rest you see all looks the same. Some of that "rest" went into Little Rock and the rest of the rest got potted up. I transplanted it not long ago to give it more room, treating it as one plant. But now....

What do you think?
