First what an amazing shot! So glad to get to see it. I have only once seen a HBM in person. It was a site to see. I can't get over how the salmon on the HBM matches the lily. And oh that lily!! Going on my wish list.

That particular HBM comes out at dusk. It's not unusual to see 2 or even 3 nectaring on the same plant or group of plants. I usually start to see them past mid-summer.
Salmon Star is indeed a beautiful oriental lily.
Nothing that's been done can ever be changed.
