It really is the way to find which ones are bullet proof. A must to give them the condition of fast draining soil and enough sunlight, from their it is up to them.
The faux 'Red Lion' is holding on, after moving it very late in the season. I will move it to it's new 'garden spot' in the spring.

Marilyn, keeping you in my prayers for a speedy recovery.

Thanks folks, am able to do a bit of reading but not too much. Will be checking in once or twice/day. Just so I don't get out of touch.

Looking forward to hearing better news about the definition of the NOID which was Red Lion. I'm all ears!

Yes, I will, Julia, I guess that is pretty much how they do these things. They tell me the results are well worth it. I am hoping they are right. Thank You!

Marilyn,

Yes the surgery is a miracle. i went from 20/ 200 to 20/ 20! The worst time is between the two surgeries where one eye is perfect and the other is not!

To all,

My semps mostly look good despite the deluges of rain, Some are rotting but that just tells me that they're not good garden plants.

And yes it's a pity that the 'Red Lion' is not as whatever Lynn has IS a gorgeous plant.

Kevin

The wrong plant is'nt the wrong 'Lowes 60'? It's really similar.. and a lion lowe... It's very suitable? Maybe I misundstood something :-D

Besides 'Red Lion' is similar to 'Rosanna'. Its from the same breeder.
It seems 'Rosanna' don't produce variegated daughter rosettes.

Erwin, I am thinking that the incorrect 'Red Lion' I have is the same as 'Othello'. Hen and Chicks (Sempervivum 'Othello')

Mine will remain a NOID, but it sure does look like 'Othello'.
I know I didn't mix them up, as they have never been grown in the same bed.

Thumbs up Thank you Erwin.

But I will not keep this now NOID as 'Othello'.
My 'Othello' is growing in a different bed, and it does get quite large, with what appears to be the same colors at the same times of the year.
