Sounds delicious, Toni. I will give it a try along with a blueberry one I will be making today for an upcoming bake sale.

Bananas + chocolate -- Yum! Thanks for sharing the recipe, Toni !

Does anyone have any good rhubarb recipes to share? (My plants are just a couple of years old -- from seed -- and I wasn't really expecting to pick any this year, but the huge leaves have been getting in my way in the garden so I took a closer look and have plenty of nice big stalks... Smiling )

Here's one of my favorite Rhubarb Custard pie recipes

3 Eggs Beaten
1 Cup sugar
2 T soft butter
1 Cup half and half
pinch of salt
2 T flour
3 Cups of rhubarb cut into small pieces.

Pour into an unbaked 9 Inch pie shell and bake at 350 for about an hour or until a knife inserted comes out clean.

Here's another rhubarb pie I like.

4 T butter
3 Cups of diced fresh rhubarb
1 1/2 Cups sugar
6 T cream
6 T additional sugar
1/2 t salt
4 T cornstarch
3 egg yolks well beaten
1 "Baked" 9 inch pie shell.

Procedure:
Melt butter in saucepan and add 1 1/2 cups sugar and the fresh rhubarb. Cook until tender.
Combine the rest of the ingredients and add them to the rhubarb. Cook and stir until thick. Pour into baked pie shell. Chill thoroughly. You can top it with a Meringue, or serve it plain with whipped cream.

The meringue makes it unique from other recipes, and is really good on it. Whipped cream is good on it too. Sticking tongue out
