I would appreciate all of you to give me an opionion on this Sans.

Is it dead? It was so healthy till it got beat up in a hail storm in June then it was hit by an early snow storm in September, before I brought it in. The two aloe vera which were there did give it up but these I thought might survive.....

I see green, so to me it is still alive...I would repot, check the roots and reduce the size of the container, make the media grittier. Even indoors, I find them in a bit of slow down pace of growth during winter, and resumes their growth vigor when Spring returns.

Thanks, Guess I will give it a while longer to see if it hangs in there. It seems it has been through so much it should have a chance..

I find Sans a bit more forgiving...just a really slow recovery but it will recover.

Marilyn, I had a Sansevieria for five years, during which it was ignored for 2 in a pot in a steamy hot/super cold sunroom in Virginia, then it was forgotten outside for a little while in very cold weather, then I forgot to water it for probably 6 months, then I took the trouble to move it to Florida with me because I had so much respect for it after such abuse, plopped it in the ground during May heat, and it is still alive, kickin', and putting out new shoots left and right. Unbelievably tough plants! It looks very much alive to me!

Marilyn,
I agree and it doesn't look so bad to me. It may sit like that until new pups appears and takes over. Cold + Water = Death. So watch the watering during the winter months.

My Dorstenia gigas has stopped losing leaves and is putting out new ones. I'm happy about that. Thumbs up

If you read my seed thread you'll know I ordered a packet of seeds of another rare one Dorstenia gypsophila. I'll be happy to have some of these. Does anyone know how long they take to germinate?

Another reason I keep getting plants is because I have ocd and I try so hard to fight it. But sometimes I get depressed and the ocd wins.

March is the month my mom died so that will be hard on me.

I will be doing a trade for a plant in march so that will help.

I will be doing a trade for three plants in april and that will be it for plants this year.

I may order another packet of
Dorstenia gypsophila because it is a hard species to grow. I want a better chance of having some.

Adam I have lost some family members that I was very close to and also put a lot of my grief into my garden. I plant things all the time in their memory. I also plant trees and flowers for world events that are tragic. I used to think I had a problem but now I just go with it. As long as it makes you happy that is all that matters Group hug You might have to get a bigger place though. Like a botanical garden to live in Sticking tongue out You have a pretty awesome collection!!!

March is a time of year that there is many volunteer programs to get out and plant trees in parks or rehabilitation programs for land. That might be a way to focus some of your energy by giving back to the earth in memory of your mother. Also native wild flower seeds sprinkled along side roads that don't get mowed is a nice way to spread the love. That is the way I see it anyway. There are some things in this world we can not change as much as I wish I could. So, for me if I go tomorrow I know that I have made a difference even though it is small in my little corner of the world.

Another fun thing to do with the plants you already have would be decorate the pots. I have been doing that with my 4" cutting pots and have been really enjoying it. Just a few stones placed makes a difference. It might be a way to channel your OCD without buying more plants? Just a thought. That is what I have been doing to fight the fact that cool plants are just a click away on ebay Rolling my eyes. You can remake little scences in your pots and it is like having something new.
