My plants have been in the basement for several months, barely getting any water, sitting by the basement windows.
All of the plants, including this one lost all of their leaves, and a few put out some smaller leaves at the top of the stems.
What a nice surprise that this plant has decided to start blooming in the middle of winter. It's got 2 other buds growing, and hopefully I'll get to see them bloom. The 1st bloom has triple skirts!
They're not getting any height, they've only put out small leaves at the top, after they went through a major period of shedding all of the leaves they came in with from the garden. I'm thrilled that this one plant decided to bloom.
What a beautiful blossom. I have some that do that too.............no leaves but a blossom here and there. Is this a seedling that is blooming for the first time for you?
It's not a seedling, it's a plant Angel's Honeymoon, but it is not dropping its skirts. I'm just thankful to be seeing unexpected blooms at this time of year.
Hi Brenda, the scent is lovely. The second bloom is a double, and is dropping her skirts. The 1st bloom that's a triple never did. There's a 3'd bloom on the way, and a 4th bud
