Yes it does. It is a slope and I have noticed that plants that need a lot of moisture do no do well in that bed. I have other bulbs there, irises, creeping phlox and dianthus.
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?
Thank you Bonnie. I think I know where I will move them to. More sun, and a spot in the front yard that the Juniper tree roots keeps rather dry. I think that will protect them from drowning in our heavy rainy season (Jan thru April/May).

Good luck, Lynn. They sure are worth the effort. I used to cut a bloom stalk and wrap the bottom in wax paper and send it by one of the children to their school teacher. The child looked like it was carrying a fancy umbrella the way the blooms flared out all around. I love them in my garden.
