It says 'Starburst' on the little blue tag. Not a great caudex but we're working on that.... Big Grin

I hate losing plants....I know they are "just plants" but when you nurse them along and baby them and get them to grow, bloom, and be pretty and they die....it's like losing a friend..... Crying

Hurray! Oh, good for you, Melissa. You're going to open a nursery. Yes, nodding I agree , they will faint when they see your plants. I hope that they buy all of them. Hilarious! I wish I was there. I know that I'd buy as many as I could.

Thanks for the encouragement, Deebie! Right now my plants are having a tough time recovering from the c-c-cold place I had them for two months. Now they're warm enough, but get vary little sun! owell. It's a challenge looking for a place to have a nursery! Plus, I will have to hide my favorites, they're the ones folks want to buy!

I figure I'll buy some wholesale to get started,

You're welcome Melissa and you're right about hiding favorite plants. Everyone who sees my DRs wants one. I've just about given away all of my seedlings. I need to get some more seeds planted soon. I do not share full grown plants with people who do not normally grow houseplants or are not gardeners, because in most cases, it's a death sentence for the plant. One friend that I gave a 2 year old seedling listened to her DH when he told her that her plant sitting in her kitchen window in dry soil needed some water. He convinced her to put it out in the rain during winter. All that after I instructed her--no water during winter. Grumbling Although she's asked for another, I've yet to give her one, as I don't have any more seedlings.

I repotted it straight away and there is no caudex to speak of, but I am sure there will be eventually. I lifted it about 3/4 inch. No loss of blooms btw.

Yes, I'm sorry to hear that too. Group hug I agree with your signature line, Kim. It's heartbreaking, especially when we lose them unexpectedly. I know how I felt when I lost my oldest DR to rot.

I got this baby at HD the other day. It was cheaper on the succulent section, as opposed to the table they usually have the adeniums. $6 is not bad! Of course, most of the caudex was buried in dirt.

$6 is rediculously cheap! Someone has been taking care of that plant for at least two years
