I'd say Lilting Belle is definitely pink. The AHS description is listed as "Pink with lavender overtones and wide near white eyezone".

Pink is a hard color for me. I often see one called pink that I would describe as lavender or lilac. 'Lilting Belle' was primarily pink for me, but not pure pink since the lavender was detectable. On occasional days I wouldn't even had called it pink since it tilted too much toward lavender. It was, though, the closest to pink I have.

Hello All,
It's been a while since I've been to the website, and I'm excited to jump into this forum. There are SO MANY gorgeous pinks! Wow! Here are a few of my favorites from my Ohio garden. I did just move in December to Virginia, and I was able to pot well over 100 of my favorites and bring them with me. ...have to have priorities...right? Smiling

I love Wild Cherry Wine. It's in my spring arrivals order this year......I like a true daylily pink the best, with no salmon or yellow tones. There is no pink daylily that I've grown that actually has the same pink coloration as pink roses, but some come very close. One of my favorites is an old standard from 1976 called Yesterday Memories. It's a very close match to pink roses. Another of my favorite true daylily pinks is Pink Aloha by Buntyn. I lost mine last winter to an abnormally long cold spell and this year when I posted a picture of it, I just had to order it again. It's a pricey one for my budget, but I put my money where my mouth is on this beauty......Maryl

glengarry23,
I grew 'Little Grapette' for a little while till it faded away, but your photo does not look anything like my plant. I think your plant must be mistagged, it should not be pink.

Philip, Larry is correct. I am not sure what the name of your lovely flower is but it is definitely not Little Grapette.

As old as it is, I still love Barbara Mitchell. The form and that diamond dusting on a sunny day just make it a standout in my garden.

As I was walking through the garden, I was noticing names that I had forgotten about. I have to mention Pink Cotton Candy, Denali, Yazoo Jim Terry all of which are huge favorites of mine. I love huge flowers and New Series is another one to mention. It has some pink so I just had to throw that in too, lol.

I have never grown these, but they are on my long list (the one where I win the lottery, have a hired gardener, good soil, and - just as important- the room to grow them). They are two oldies: Hush Little Baby and Becky Lynn. I've only seen pictures of them but they always look lovely.........Maryl

That's so nice of you Mike. I'm really past my limit on daylilies right now, but let me see if I may have lost any in the next month or so. Looking at your picture is why I would some day like to add Hush Little Baby to my collection. Thank You again for your kind offer. .........Maryl
