Resurrecting this thread to give those shade-tolerant plants their due!
Here are some in my wooded yard.
First are 4 arisaemas, A kiushianum, A ringens, A sikokianum and A griffithii.
All are in pretty deep shade in moist leaf-litter soil.
In the same area is Dracunculus vulgaris. Mine has faint silver markings on the leaves - I've seen other clones which are much more dramatically marked. Mine blooms reliably but it's too early this year.
Finally a few asarums.
A takaoi has spread to form a nice colony.
A cultivar of A takaoi called Musashi Prince has different markings. And if you look closely, you can see the strange flower.
A Kumageanum is an asarum with large leaves that have a glossy sheen.
It also has an interesting flower (you have to look under the leaves to find the flowers!).
