This is my pot for propagating them. As you can see, the tips have been cut off and planted in the soil alongside their bases.

And when I finally gave them decent supplemental light, I cooked the leaf tips on some of them. Had to back lighten up on the lighting!

Your Dracaena plant pictured appears to be Lucky Bamboo (Dracaena sanderiana)

Because it didn't look like this (), I thought it was a different plant.

How about this one for comparison?

Yes, it looks like that photo, but that photo doesn't look like the Lucky Bamboo I've seen sold in stores all over the place.

I thought the same thing when I saw this pic, but whenever you're unsure, it's safe to go with the parent entry. From your pic, which doesn't show the overall habit & leaf arrangement/spacing, and slightly different placement of the leaf stripes, would make me hesitate to move it.

Lucky bamboo in stores is usually the plain, non-variegated type, that I've seen. Whenever I've seen the variegated one for sale, it was in a pot instead of water. No idea if that's because it's not traditional to use the variegated "as lucky bamboo," this is the way they think people prefer for each, or if the variegated one tends to not live very long in water. Might also need more light than where people usually try to grow plain green LB.

This one's also similar, and has leaves that look a little longer than yours, that grow much more close together on the stem than D. braunii.
Song of India (Dracaena reflexa)

If you are able to nail down a species in the future, the pic can be moved.

I at first thought possibly D. reflexa too but it just looked more like D. braunii to my eyes for some reason. I have Song of India (Dracaena reflexa 'Variegata') and the canes seem a bit thicker but with my eyes, it's really hard to compare photos.

Googling "Lucky Bamboo variagated" turned up several images on grower's websites that looked exactly like my plant, so I guess that's what I have. I'll propose to have the image moved. Actually, since this is a broad category, it doesn't need to be moved.

And here's an image of one in water. Smiling
