It's in terra cotta so the soil dries out fairly rapidly, but still only about a once a week watering is fine by this plant.

I think this may be a 'Janet Craig Compacta.'

I have compacta and it's nothing like that one. Thinner, much larger, and much more flexible leaves. The tag says 'Dorado' and I've seen plants of the same name look very different from each other, so maybe Dorado comes in both yellow edged and solid green??

A cultivar name is given to a very specific looking hybrid or sport, they are patented. If your plant came with a tag that says that, it's possible your plant has lost its' variegation for some reason, or might have had a wrong tag stuck into the pot (erroneously at grower, or accidentally stuck into wrong pot by a shopper who had picked it out to read.) Would you be able to add another pic or two of this plant to this discussion? Somebody should recognize it.

I think it has 3-4 rooted tips in one small pot making it look more lush. I'll have to take more photos later.
