Oh...well, yes...we did have an ash tree on just the other side of the property line. I loved it, then we noticed that at some point (this was on a several acre piece of grove property) someone had taken an axe to it, but it remained, tall and strong. Once I started watering our property, I found the zillion seedlings coming up in the beds around the ash....I compounded the problem by letting some of them grow...lol..they did self-plant in spots where another would look nice. After we'd been there 17 years, we had some really nice ash trees.....lol..beautiful, tough and strong, turning a multitide of yellows in the fall.....and a gazillion seedlings. We sold the property over a year ago and I think the new owner is not one really big on watering, so they may be more 'controlled' now....
I did appreciate that the trees fed a lot of birds with their seeds all over beneath the first tree...probably carried the seeds waaay away to your house, kelli....
