Our first contest is to take one or more shoes and make them into something fun for the garden. Plant, paint, hang, whatever. NO RULES...just shoes! Seriously, no rules. No postings of your shoe or shoes until next Sunday, July 24th at noon. Vic or I will unlock this thread then so you can post. If you must ask a question, ask it in the Q & A thread.

I just deleted the chatting here for the photos to be at the top of the thread. That was a lesson learned. For the next contest, I will start a new thread for the photos or we can simply post at the end of the chatting.

I'm eliminated from this contest but had to participate!

Old red flip flops painted with pots to match. Acrylic paints, pots glued to flip flops. I still need to plant them.

As I was painting them, I really thought it would be fun to set the flips flops all by themselves in the garden.



Then I thought...I'd like to wear them. I think the paint would wear off.

Fake plantings just to show how they will look....I'm going to nail them to my front entrance with cement nails.

Here's my entry - some old clogs.

They are all over my front porch, makes it look like I have a bunch of smart alec kids running all over the place, climbing plants, walking on the railings and playing on the steps.

These are WONDERFUL

I used to have old pink crocs and green but they went to the thrift store before I got a chance to plant them.

Naaah ... I'm not entering the contest. My brown Croc's are not painted or decorated for art ... but maybe next time!
