OMG, I am surrounded by oak trees. I pick up acorns so that the squirrels don't "plant" them in my garden beds. I get tired of pulling out baby oak and baby acorn trees. I am not sure what kind of oak they are, everyone calls them white oak, but I have tons of acorns! Viability isn't a problem here.

The problem with relocating squirrels, chipmunks and other common rodents is that no one wants them!

For forests and natural areas this is a positive thing to help new trees grow and fill areas where old trees died. It's just a pain in our yards Green Grin!

I don't "re-locate" those squirrels to anyone. I just release them 5 miles out of town, near a National Forest.
