Comfortable - I don't have this any more.

So this is called a Bi Color in the data base? I think not.

A little confusion here...

Why is Flash of Light listed as a amoena and not a Emma Cook?

Same question with Opposites

That's part of the challenge. Flash of light is a cross between Snowed in x Queen's Circle. Snowed In is listed as a neglecta probably because of the tinge of blue in the standards. Flash Of Light is listed as an amoena because the standards are white. But the pollen parent Queen's Circle is listed as an Emma Cook...so being a cross between the Neglecta/Bi-Color Snowed in and the Emma Cook Queen's Circle (if we have those both listed correctly) one could argue either way. I guess ultimately it would be up the the hybridizer to decide...except that some hybridizers like Schreiner's don't list Emma Cook at all. They list most of them as Amoenas or Bicolors! So it's clear as mud...right? Grumbling

Also Rob I'm guessing that Living On The Edge would be classified as a Variegata based on the colors. Shrug!

It sure would be nice if we could get some of the hybridizers to weigh in on the issue! Especially the ones who have studied the genetics carefully, like Don Spoon (I'm sure there are others, I just don't know who).
