At first i thought this was a Begonia because of the leaf shape but..the stems contradict this..
It was growing at the foot of a steep huge rock in the shade where also begonias grow.
Any idea what family it could belong to?

This could be Anthurium Myriam , look at some on the Hawiian Botanical Gardens ..

http://www.htbg.com/search.php...

A google for "Anthurium Atlantic Rainforest" brought up one result on Flora do Brasil, Anthurium lacerdae. I couldn't find any images on google images, but went a couple of pages into the web search and found a pdf with some on. It doesn't fit this one but I haven't looked at what else there is. It is terrestrial, and the climbing, branching form is similar to another on the pdf

While trying to get some Pipers identified I came upon this one: Piper truncatum.
http://floradobrasil.jbrj.gov....
it resembles my plant so well, the only thing is that the leaves on mine are so shiny and I don't see that in the photo of the 'Flora do Brasil'.

I saw now there were two more pictures and on the last one you can see the hairy stem and leaf petioles, mine is not hairy so this one it cannot be..
