Isn't it already in a hanging basket?

Thanks, the leaves are slightly prickly, not nearly as bad as some. I can run my fingers along the edges without injury.

I liked it so much I checked Tropiflora's site earlier. They have one (only one!) and I might just treat myself to it on Monday if it hasn't sold by then.

Elaine I'm drooling on your Celadine inflo. That is so pretty, that will most likely give you a wonderful boquet in time for christmas.

Ken I stopped fetilizing mine beginning last week of September, I think I stopped too early and some of my inflo aborted or just stopped blooming. I was preparing them for dormancy. Had I known we would stay warm longer, I would have continued to feed them more Sad Oh well, spring will be here before we know it.

Alice, I think you did a great job in letting that beautiful plant go with you! It is beautiful!

I'm really not complaining about the ridiculously warm weather. Lots of new buds and blooms that normally would not grace my garden at this time of year.

My brugmansias continue to put out new buds - Milk 'n Honey with a cluster coming along and one about to open:

New Orleans Lady has several new buds and this one will open tonight. Starts out white, fades to cream then blushes pink at last. It's supposed to be a double but has yet to make a really double flower. I keep hoping . . .

Can't walk by the Hibiscus schitzopetalus, and an update on Plumeria Celadine which I find myself visiting several times a day just to enjoy the gorgeous scent.

Snap peas and beets are coming up in one of my Earth Boxes. This always gives me a little "springtime" thrill - even when it happens in December.

A nasturtium showing its pretty little face although it's suffering only a couple of hours of sunlight at the moment. These usually bloom all the way through May for me, though. Good value for a packet of seeds!

And here's the cluster of Brugmansia 'Milk 'n Honey' that I showed above, all open now. It's barely visible but the "honey" color is just starting to seep down into the bell. I was taking flash pics last night so I could enjoy the scent.

Also harvested two kinds of peppers, two of tomatoes and some broccoli for a frittata yesterday morning. Mmm. The hot peppers in the bowl came from the school garden - we had to remove the (donated, anonymous) plants when we realized what we had, so that no child would get a bite of hot pepper inadvertently. My DH loves them, and I gave away handfuls to a bunch of teachers at school as well.

How nice to have such fresh stuff now.
I inherited a large pot of ultra hot Habaneros, Carribean Reds from my son for the same reasons, the little grandchildren would truly have a problem after playing with those. One or two whole peppers, not touching them with bare hands, flavors a whole pot of Chili!! Good stuff!

Chile sounds good right now. It was 68 degrees this morning but the high this afternoon will be around 81.

I took the machete back to the banana patch yesterday to cut down the stock that I harvested a couple of weeks ago and discovered several more bunches growing. This warm weather is really good for banana lovers.

Jungle Jim attacks banana patch with machete! Next time you come down here, you can bring that machete - I have a REAL jungle, as you know. Big Grin

Yes, must admit I'm hoping to see a couple of nice full flushes of bloom on my mango tree this winter. There are signs of inflorescences starting up high. Last year's crop was decidedly poor! Maybe we'll even see a crop of lychee this year (if I can win the battle with the birds and squirrels). The lychee tree has some nice flushes of new growth.
