I got this Dutch iris bulbs at 99cents store. Have never grown Iris and from my readings it says to plant/divide during summer. So this ones are still bulbs, and at first I was just going to ignore it till around May, but I saw the bulbs are waking up, so I planted it just the same. I planted it in a container, and following what I have read, planted very shallow.

It does feel like early summer than spring here with this roasty temps these past few days.

Anyone growing this type of Iris in their yard?

Here in Utah Dutch Iris are planted in the fall like Daffodils, Tulips, Crocus, etc. Go ahead and plant them but I'm not certain how they will do.

I have Dutch iris. They were planted in the fall but I think yours will do fine. You got them into soil and water before they could exhaust themselves.
