Not sure if just copying this here will work or not, but this is a lovely video of spring.

I enjoyed watching the time-lapse video too. So just throwing seeds out on the soil where you want them to grow, should work the same as in the video. Am I right? Or do I need to put some dirt over them? Maybe it depends on the size of the seed. I want to try this in some areas and see what happens. I have a lot of seeds that I have collected over the past couple years from my own flowers. Plus some store bought flower seed packets. Thank You! Deb for posting the link.

Jeanne - the individual seed packets will/should tell you to either cover them with soil (and they'll tell you how much soil) or tell you not to cover them and that means they need light to germinate.

Okay, thank you Arlene. I do remember reading in one of the threads that some seeds need light to germinate and some seeds need darkness (meaning dirt over them). Most of the time it is hard for me to remember what I read.

It never gets easier for me regardless of how often I plant the same varieties. Age isn't always friendly.
