Comfrey is incredible. It's a soil builder, a fertilizer, a compost enhancer, has medicinal properties, is a good feed source for animals, and much more. Let's talk about this chief of plants.

We have been growing and sharing our Comfrey for more than 30 years. It grows well here in Pa and we don't seem to have the same issues as you guys in the dryer, hotter state of Texas. We use to feed it to our goats, they just love comfrey and gave some to our son so he could grow it for his goats now. It's a great additive to our compost pile and when the children were younger Ric made Comfrey Tea for upset stomachs. Nowadays we don't have as much of a demand for it and I have been working on removing it from our Veggie Garden area and replant closer to the compost pile. For about 5 years now I dig up most of what I find in the Veggie Garden and every year there is still some new coming up.
