Sue, I'll have to look to see if there's still a tag there. Mickie doesn't sound right... but I wouldn't trust my brain to remember if it was Hilarious!

Ithink it's too big to be "Little Miss Sunshine'.. Reading the description for Mickie, it may be to big for that too.. It's at least at Mickie's maximum size and looking like it wants to get bigger.. I got it at the San Luis Obispo Bot. garden about 5 years ago.. The foliage looks like a match to Mickie though.

There are probably a few different ones out there. I sure like it and the blooms are just an added bonus when you have beautiful contrasting foliage like that!

Been a while since I've been on this forum.. sorry, I've been pulling weeds Blinking

That's Gromit behind the gate. He's trying to learn not to go past the gate. The gold tree on the right is a Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia 'Frisia').

The rock wall just inside the gate has Cobweb Houseleek (Sempervivum arachnoidium), and a few other Sempervivums scattered about.

We've had two winters in a row now with rain (after several years of drought), and a few more inches over the past week, so the plants (and weeds!) are really happy.. This is from the back door out to the driveway.

I like trees... what can I say? I'd probably have to recount, but in the 20+ years I"ve been here, I've planted over 75. I can see 9 in this picture...

Bailey likes being in pictures.. or at least I assume so, because he's in so many of them.
Thumb of 2019-05-27/Henhouse/05839c

I have things in pots... Lots of things.. this is a small fraction.. I have a friend who believes I need Bromeliads and gives me pups. I don't discourage this behavior in him. Big Grin

This used to be a horse corral.. I briefly considered getting a horse when I moved here. Better sense prevailed, for once in my life.

If Spring lasted forever, would it be as glorious?

Yeah! Love the update! LOL, 3 years of weed pulling, I know the feeling!
I have the same golden locust, it's such a focal point! Trees are the garden structures, the accent marks, if I had more room, I'd be planting more!
I am only on half acre, the rains have been beating my butt in the weeds department, really overwhelming.
Love your puppers, I just lost my 14 year old 7.5 lb poodle this past Wed., she was my sweetie, really miss her.

Oh Sue, I'm so sorry for the loss of your poodle. Group hug For such little creatures, they fill such a big place in our hearts. Bailey is 15 and slowing down with aches and pains and a collapsing trachea. We got Gromit last summer from a rescue organization.. We haven't done his DNA, but we're guessing he's a Schnoodle. Very different personality from the poodles of my past and present.

Wow, Sherry, your gardens are just magical! I don't know if you still do tours, but if I ever get the chance to get out to California I'd love to see them in person. What a beautiful little world you live in!
