That's sweet, Shannon!

As of April 1, we only had about 10 people interested between ATP and Cubits, so I asked Pacific Callas if that was too few participants. I haven't received a response, but they are in the middle of Spring Trials, so I know they are very busy. In Spring Trials all the big California growers show off their stuff to buyers, they have to have their plants blooming already and make nice displays, then entertain busloads of people from all over the country. The trials ended the 16th so I hope to hear back soon, I'm sure they're inundated with orders and emails at this time.

Debsroots, I usually figure out how many bulbs will fit in the 2 flat rate boxes (med and large) and charge for those, but then try to fit the order in several other sizes, like regional rate and regular priority and then refund the excess payment cost. The last time I ran the co-op I think everyone got a refund except for 1 person. Adding plants to the bulb coop definitely makes it harder to guess on shipping costs, as they're so much heavier.

Linda Chickhill, the extra plants he mentioned aren't on the website and probably won't be available to the public until next year. Every time we do the co-op with Pacific Callas they offer us some Calla colors that are brand new and not on the market yet.

I'm happy to see more interest, I guess we are all getting spring fever!! Group hug

My car thermometer said 88º today! What should I do if I buy from the co-op? Just keep the green growing to feed the bulb and save the planting for next fall??

Im pretty sure when I got mine it was when they were on DG. If they never had a coop on DG then it had to b here. Point is, mine were great, grew great, squirrels finally got the best of them. I will for sure buy more this fall or early spring.

Thanks for the kind words, Jeri. I think the Calla co-ops were started on DG, then stopped for a while, then I picked them up and ran them on DG, Cubits, and ATP. Last year I had someone else run it when I was too busy, and I've let my DG membership lapse, I'd rather use the money to buy plants, lol.
You should always buy Callas in the spring to get the freshest bulbs. (Unless you get them from someone who has dug them up in their yard in the fall).
Hopefully we can get the co-op started a little bit earlier next year. Keep an eye on these classified starting in early March!

I think I started in your coop on DG but they are still blooming away and everyone wants some of them. The Picasso has multiplied a lot and I've been able to share.
