Daylilies
Hello Gale, thank-you and nice to meet you! I tip my hat to you.
I’ve had a different experience with the corn field next to me. No circles are used, just big combines pulling different equipment and sprayers. The fertilizing of the field doesn't overspray into my property because they inject it into the soil, but the weed kill they apply in the spring is sprayed and HAS on occasion! Grumbling Not good! Normally they are very careful about wind direction but sometimes I guess that is not enough.
Your experience is further proof that nitrogen is something daylilies love no matter how they get it—blood meal, lawn fertilizer, or circle end gun! I will certainly be feeding my daylilies every year.

Natalie, glad to entertain I tip my hat to you. even if it means occasionally embarrassing myself with over-reactions *Blush* . It's nice to be among understanding friends
I’ve gotten excited about daylilies just reading about and looking at them on the internet. Getting real plants installed into my landscape is taking it to the next level for sure! Big Grin

I have to temper expectations and expect no blooms this first year which is a bit of a downer. But I’m hoping that because I’m providing them a good home with good food-- and lots of love and attention-- at least one of them will feel compelled to express happiness by popping out a bloom for me!
