I just joined yesterday, so I'm only now seeing your thread. I'm so sorry to hear about your house, what a miserable situation. It's great that you have friends and/or family helping out, though. Disasters have a strange way of bringing out the best in people, don't they?

I hope by now life has become somewhat more normal, but I can't imagine what you must be going through. With mold, do they have to tear the house down and build you a new one with the insurance money, or do they have a means of getting rid of the mold somehow? (You don't have to answer if you don't want, I was just curious how that works. We live in a place that has flood warnings often, but we are on a hill so it won't likely ever affect us directly...I hope.)
