I totally agree, but what the heck is "lightning glass" Confused

I think I see something on ATP pretty much every day that I never knew existed!

Yep, Horntoad knows his stuff. We were walking along a trail and I saw something sticking up out of the sand. Curious by nature, I picked it up and told my companions that I thought someone had melted a bottle in a campfire. They got all excited, telling me I just found lightning glass. Shrug! Confused
Okay, one more item on the memory lane bookshelf. I put it next to the petrified clam. Rolling on the floor laughing

Let's get back to the beans now. I hate Lima beans (even if they are called 'Butter Beans') as much as I hate Brussels Sprouts, but I like a mystery. Thumbs up

I'm still wondering about this. In the meantime, the plant has grown and produced many pods which I have harvested and eaten!

If not P. lunatus, (Lima Bean) perhaps P. vulgaris (Kidney Bean)?

I am quoting myself as I still think the beans are close to this one:

Dinu, The beans look similar to ones sold as "Heirloom Christmas Beans"; the color pattern can vary.

The vine has grown and grown, produced plenty of pods. We are storing the beans after drying them to cook a few at a time once in a while. Can't eat much regularly too, because they have the tendency to produce gas in the stomach after eating.

Nice to see a good harvest. Thumbs up
If you boil the beans, discard water, add new water to boil again, then add carminative herbs will the intestinal gas problem be solved?

You can also add baking soda to the water you cook them in.

This bean is grown in India and resembles a soybean plant. It's used as forage primarily in India, Australia and Texas. In central Africa it's eaten. The seed's description doesn't look like Dinu's but one of it's common names is 'Butter Bean'.

The Hyacinth beans look different than those being harvested by Dinu.
