This photo was taken at sunset, so the lighting is a bit deceptive. Also, the flower had just opened that afternoon so the cup color had not fully developed, which is incidentally my favorite time for this daffodil. It soon becomes a rather apricot color and ages to what some folks refer to as 'pink' (as shown in the photo dated 4-1-15).
