There is equipment in the fields going crazy the last couple of days. We still need some rain, tho. We'll see what happens. It's supposed to be cooler again next week. I am SO over winter. Blech!

Ha, I had 6 bales of straw delivered. I used to go pick them up when I had the old van but now I can't fit so many in this one. Anyway, each time I order I have to explain that no there are no animals here and they are bringing it to a typical suburban lot. I use it as mulch in my extensive garden.

Mary, sometimes my Uncles cows get out and trample all over my mother's garden so I know what you mean, but they always do more damage. He lives next door. My mother never says anything though.

My son recently herded two stray goats into his very urban back yard (outskirts of Seattle). When one escaped, he went out looking for it, and fortunately ran into the goat owner searching for his goats. Good way to meet a neighbor (son only bought his house last fall), and a good testament to his rural upbringing.
