It is a space ager! Deep red, space ager, named for the indians the pilgrims first met. Now if it were $20 less it would be winging it's way to my garden!!! Hilarious!

I like the height but not the horns. Strange that a mid western iris has an eastern Indian name. Perhaps he knew about Arlyn's 'indian bed'.

As a matter of fact, he does, Lucy...although I doubt that influenced his name choice Sticking tongue out . He has a "whole tribe" of "Indian" named iris. I'd like to find some of his older ones, but they are proving to be quite elusive , as he no longer grows some of them. Seems he had a problem with a neighboring farm, and herbicide! Really messed up his operation, a few years back.

I'll say ! When it's your livelihood, that's hard to take, and, I suppose there were seedlings lost, as well, and who knows what might be lost there....even repeating the same cross would bring a different ,possible "outcome!
