If I may - the accepted name is Bifrenaria harrisoniae and Dendrobium harrisoniae is one of the synonyms.

Isn't this the Orchid which was also found growing on the Christ the Redeemer mountain in Rio?

Jim, First thing I did when I got home was research it, and read that same article. I doubt that I'll ever try to either divide or repot it. I'll simply drop the whole thing in a larger pot.

Ursula, I don't know about that, but it could very well be. In the wild they grow on exposed rock faces.

Alright you guys and gals. I've got some seedlings that I'm getting rid of (no room) so let me know if you want them.

You pay postage and I'll send them to you.

I have 3 large seedlings and 1 small seedling of Cattleya harrisoniana 'Volcano Queen' x harrisoniana 'Streeter's Choice' FCC/AOS (link to photo)
https://lab.troymeyers.com/fla...

I have 3 large seedlings of Myrmecophila albopurpurea x Laelia tenebrosa

These are probably years from blooming, but all of the seedlings are strong. I know that I won't have any room to grow them.

Ready, set, go! First come, first served. I tip my hat to you.

Well, since I have already taken the compot off your hands, you might as well put me down for whatever you want to throw out. I REALLY think that I should be ahead of Jim. He has EVERYTHING and I have nothing. Sighing! Besides, he didn't help you with that compot. Whistling

Those sound really nice Melissa, but I'm not growing any more orchids from seedlings. Life's too short.

On my Wish List currently is a Gongora of some sort, but I really love the one with the dark red flying pterodactyls. It's one species I've never seen at any of our local shows or sales.

Sounds like you've been reading too much Karl Marx, Ken. Rolling on the floor laughing

And of course now that I am back from the MOS show, I can add several more to the Wish List. These will probably take some searching and some serious money.

Cattleya Jinn 'Little Red Riding Hood' - an old cross of almost 100 years. Possibly can get a division from Owens. http://www.owensorchids.com/Ph...
Thumb of 2015-05-18/shadytrake/aea395

Cattleychea Newberry Butterscotch is to die for!
Thumb of 2015-05-18/shadytrake/6e1854

Rlc First Lieutenant Roy Schulte - the owner said that if I couldn't find it, to email him and he might be able to get me a division.
Thumb of 2015-05-18/shadytrake/c40774

Off to search the internet for these!!

I agree on the Newberry Butterscotch! Purpurata + what? I also saw the C shillerianna with almost solid septal and petals but my pic doesn't due justice.

You have some good ones on that list. One note about Den. smillieae; I have the alba form and Ursula has the regular one. I prefer hers. The alba is a pale green and white without much zip. I wish I had gotten the regular one.

Thanks, Jim, I'll keep that in mind if I ever find it! My first choice is the Bulb. Lilacinum....from what I understand it smells exactly like lilacs and that is the thing I miss most about being up north...no lilacs here. Crying
No chipmunks either! I miss them too!
