Russ Kinsman called last night to tell me PollyK had died. She had been battling cancer for two years.
I will miss our spring meets to dig iris and exchange plants.
She was a very private person and generous with her plant overflow.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of PollyK. May she rest in peace.

While taking pictures yesterday I remembered Polly's love of Myosotis. It occurred to me I was photographing "forget me nots" , which brought me to tears again...

There are times when in my garden I see a plant that I want to tell her about, usually its one we took a chance on and she would ask my about the progress. I realize those conversations are over. It just tares me up.
I talked with her often until the last three months, she never gave me a clue she was THAT sick.
Thats Polly tho, she disguised herself.

JoAnn, her passing has hit me really hard. I'm astounded at the grief I've felt losing a friend I never met face to face.

Same here except we did hang out once or twice a year.
We used to go to Borglums Iris Farm and dig iris until she had a back surgery and I ran out of room for more iris.
It was so terrific building my garden with her plant choices.
I used to have "Lunch and Lilies the second week in July, it was a small garden tour with DebbiK and another gardener Brenda Fox, Just the four of us.
Here is Brendas gardens, she has two teenagers and doesnt make albums anymore but has garden tours for local groups.

JoAnn, Brenda's garden is one of my all times favorites. Color echos everywhere. Pretty much my dream garden excpet it would be too big for me to take care of.

Susan, She is a high energy woman. Teenagers keep her from making albums but she had 6 garden tours last year.
