Is it necessary for you to garden in a seated position or are you tired of stooping over a garden bed? Re-purposing stock tanks as raised garden beds might work for you while avoiding the high cost of labor and materials in traditional construction.

This is a great idea I use containers as I have limited mobility and now have to do no lifting because osteoarthritis has my arms and won't let go. I do put the holes in the side of the containers about an inch above the bottom which makes me water less as it stays moist longer in South Ga. heat. I also put sphagnum moss in the bottom or mixed with the first 3 inches of the soil to hold moisture. We harvest the fresh moss from the woods each year. I agree
