Time for some updates.
I did a little deadheading this afternoon and had to clip several long stems off of Caramella, they were almost laying on the ground. Now enjoying them indoors.
The bloom trusses are huge and after I clipped off some of the old shattered blooms, I couldn't help taking more pictures, trying out different angles. This rose is humongous, probably 7 ft. tall and as wide, at least! (Photos prettier enlarged)
Grace, another one I just can;t get enough photos of.
Cute little
Rose (Rosa 'Perle d'Or') and I spotted something in that first shot and went in for a closer look.
The lowering light in the evening just pops the colors but does mess with my focus sometimes. The colorful Jacob's Robe on left with Brothers Grimm in the background.
I had to stand on a large pot to get the tops of Lady Emma Hamilton, she is over 6 ft. this year.
Summer Song
And the always stunning Aloha (by Kordes)
My Romantika has never looked so full!
Looks darker in the evening shade. (First shot includes a chicken.)
This is
Clematis 'Ashva' but the blooms are stunted, probably half the size of normal. I have it planted next to a climbing rose (you can see them paired in the Ashva database entry) and I just discovered the rose has a large crown gall growth so maybe that affected it. Unfortunately, the rose will have to be removed.
Rhapsody is blooming next to these cute lime
Flowering Tobacco (Nicotiana alata 'Lime Green') They have been self seeding here for a few years now. The green makes such a nice backdrop for that blue.
Cafe rose backed by Romatika clematis and some white abutilon mingling in.
Summer Song rose hanging with the extremely fragrant
Lemoine's Mock Orange (Philadelphus 'Belle Etoile')
The perfectly named
Rose (Rosa 'Bouquet Parfait') since one stem makes the sweetest mini bouquet.
Two brights paired together, my favorite alstroemeria and Brothers Grimm rose
Mini blooms on
Rambling Rose (Rosa 'Veilchenblau')
Picked this
African Daisy (Osteospermum ecklonis Ostica™ Bronze) up couple of weeks ago.
Thanks for visiting says Poppy.
