for the nice comments. Some days I look out and see all the work!

Yesterday I spent all day holding horses while the farrier trimmed feet.

Politicians are like diapers, they need to be changed often, and for the same reason.

There is nothing much more tiring than holding horses for the farrier; I have no idea why.

I think just standing in one spot for a long time wears me out more then walking about or doing work.

Sounds like what a boring day at the farmer's market can be like. When my horses feet got trimmed, they were usually just tied to the fence. I could either be there to help calm them, or go about doing something else.

2 years later, and a full sister is born! 8:30 last night. Standing at 9:15, and nursing at 9:30. Very Strong and nice.

Nice! We used to have a Tobiano paint that our daughter showed. Had a registered Quarterhorse and she had 4 paints for us before we sold her. I miss the horses, but not the costs associated with them!

The filly is doing great. The weather has been really bad, rainy and cold, so she's had to stay inside. Tonight between rain storms we took her out with her mother so she could run around a bit. She had a good time. This one belongs to a boarder, so she's not mine. I have a foal due in a couple weeks, although it looks like she may foal early. We'll see, but this one will be for sale. I'm breeding two mares to a world champion stallion from Texas this spring. I'm hoping one of them I can keep, but I have to see what I get, and that's a long way off.

Well, I mentioned that it looked like she would foal early, but what do I know.

She did foal right on time last night. Still dark when I took the picture, but you can see her. Nice Black Overo filly. Same dad as the last one. This one is mine. At least until she's sold.
