Here are some pictures of a tree in my front yard. The main (branch?) Is cut, doesnt this ruin the tree? For sure its curb appeal but its overall health?

It depends on the tree. It doesn't look to me like the central stem (main branch) was cut though.

A wound is a wound in general to a tree but Ken is right about it not looking like a main leader that will effect the bigger picture. If it were me I would cut off both of those middle pieces.

Here is another picture.. I think the main trunk has been cut away. BC whatever they cut is now grown above all the rest of the branches. But it is an eyesore!

I don't think it can be saved as far as looks go..
