Love your photo, but are you sure it's Cosmic Celebration. Mine has white standards with just maybe a tinge of yellow at the base. The falls are dark purple around the beard and starburst with no lighter rim around the edge............ I was just looking at Care to Dance and it looks a lot like that one.

Hi Ken. I was so worried for a bit that is wasn't Cosmic Celebration because
of the lavender border on the falls. But then I read the description and it said that
sometimes it has a lavender border. I'll take a look a Care to Dance, since you mentioned it.

O.k. I looked at both closely, Ken, and I think you're right. I do have Care to Dance in my plant list - got it at the PNW Sale - and I also have
Cosmic Celebration, which was a trade from a member of the forum. They are similar but I think my photos are wrong. My map shows Cosmic Celebration in an entirely different bed. I planted nearly 200 irises last season and could have made a mistake. Now I need to figure out how to delete my CC photo from the database. Or attribute it to Care to Dance. Thanks for spotting my error.

No problem, Jan. I got a few mixed up last year that Greg pointed out to me... and I only have about 55 varieties.
Cosmic Celebration is currently sending up stalks here. I'll post a few pics when it does. I also got Care to Dance at the PNW sale last year... but I don't think it is going to bloom this year. It was kind of late in the year for here, but it survived the winter and is multiplying like crazy.
