Yes, I understood it to be of Mark's also.
It is very good information and much of which many of us do not know or atleast practice.
Thanks for posting this for all to see, as many may not have Mark's book.
Quotes by origination should typically be followed by a signature of author.

This is a good reference for people to be able to read and gain a better understanding of ADENIUM growth.

Great article. Thanks for archiving it here.

I'm glad I bought Dr. Dimmit's book when it was 'only' $45. it's over $100 now. A lot of information! All the species, and many hybrids. I refer to it all the time. His nursery is in Arizona.

I refer to this article a lot, so when I read the title of this thread I knew immediately that it was Dr. Dimmit's. I'm still a newbie regards raising Adeniums, so when I'm ready to explore beyond Obesums, then I'll acquire Dr. Dimmit's book. Smiling

TY for the bit of info... very useful for us "newbies" who are unable to get the book. I'm playing "sponge" and absorbing all the info I can get...I really like these plants and hope I can keep at least a few growing! Thumbs up
I hate losing plants....I know they are "just plants" but when you nurse them along and baby them and get them to grow, bloom, and be pretty and they die....it's like losing a friend..... Crying

I got these Adeniums at Ace Hardware yesterday for $10.
No idea of the color. There are 3 leggy plants in one pot. I've already pruned them. Just waiting for my order of coir to come so I can repot them, and to root the cuttings from these and my other plant.

Three of my cuttings were rotting. I have cut them above the rot and set them aside to dry out again. I'll try to repot them In a week. Sad

Excellent information. I bought the book on the Internet to deliver in Brazil , cost more than $ 100.00, but worth every penny .
