I bought the latest 'Best of Country Gardens' magazine last month and one featured Calif. garden mention two roses in a garden shot, two very distinct roses, Double Delight and Cecile Brunner. I couldn't see where they were in the photo but there were two other roses. Turned the page and two individual bloom shots of those roses were captioned, both with incorrect names. Not sure what the Cecile Brunner labeled one was, some large pink, not the tiny cluster blooms of Cecile Brunner. The one labelled as Double Delight is the spitting image of Betty Boop rose, same coloring, very different petal count.
Now did the magazine get it wrong or did the gardener give the wrong names? A garden magazine really should have more plant knowledgeable people double checking these kinds of things.
